Winemaker Notes
Inspired by the great port wines of the Douro Valley, this release reflects the same depth and complexity as its namesakes. It opens with light and playful aromas of milk chocolate, grenadine and stewed blueberries. On the palate, it dances with flavors of fig compote, candied rose petal, and raspberry coulis. Indulgent and delightful now, and with great potential ahead.

In 2019 I visited Porto in Portugal for the first time. While I was there I discovered my love of Port wine. Wow, the port wine in Porto is fabulous. When I returned to the States I tried to find something comparible to that amazing wine in Porto but then gave up! I felt like nothing was good enough…..until I tried Patland port. It is amazing! I tried it at a wine tasting and was so happy that I finally found an smooth, delicious port here in the States. It’s so wonderful! Thanks Patland Vineyards!
