2019 "Select Barrel Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon

Here is a serious, very deep and exceptionally well-crafted Cabernet that combines great fruity potency with a marked sense of sophistication. Impressive for both its concentration and its exemplary layering, it is full and fleshy and beautifully balanced with abundant black currant fruit framed in lovely oak, and, while it possesses the expected tannic grip of a wine as young as it is, it is not in the least rough or ragged thanks to buffering fruit to spare. Set it aside in a hard-to-reach place in the cellar for at least a half-dozen years, but know that, if patience permits, it will do nothing other than improve with ten to fifteen. - Connoisseur's Guide to California Wine
